Dave didn’t decide on a whim to open a cigar shop. Our founder began the process of opening Big Dave’s Cigars after being previously affiliated with a different cigar shop. Since it was a long time ago, there is no need to go into detail, but events led to Dave exiting this previous partnership. But, Dave didn’t leave there empty-handed.
During his time in that partnership, he learned all the ins and outs of the cigar industry, how cigar shops should be operated, and, most importantly, how they should not be operated. Dave was determined to open his own cigar shop and become the best one in the city. It wasn’t long before Dave found a location, which we remain to this day (an old 7-Eleven). The build-out was started and completed and by December 2010, Big Dave’s Cigars was open. Soon enough business grew and Big Dave’s became the success it is today!
We are proud to have the largest cigar selection in the greater Fort Worth area with over 1500 different cigar facings. Our selection includes all the brands you know and love, as well as brands that are rare and hard to find.
